Twisted Soul
Chef Robert Butts and Bartender Kursten Berry

Robert Butts currently serves as the Executive Chef at Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours. Prior to
jump starting his culinary career, Chef Butts’ love for cooking started back when he was young. His
family cooking traditions filled with love and togetherness showed him how food can bring joy to
many people. He worked on recipes some good and some bad. At nine he made a dish for
Thanksgiving that caused the family to doubt his cooking abilities. That still did not stop his passion to pursue a culinary career.

Since returning to his home in Atlanta, Chef Butts has had the opportunity to share his culinary
talents with many top named and respected Chefs and restaurants. He has grown from a prep cook
to an Executive Chef. Winning many awards including two-time winner of Taste of Atlanta, winner of
Southwest Brunch Fest, best dish twice Culinary Fight Club Champion, King of the Kitchen Winner
of Atlanta, one of the Top 10 Up and coming chefs from Nola Farm to table, Atlanta Brunch Fest
winner, Fish House Live Winner, James Beard Burger Battle Champion.

One of Atlanta’s most impressive beverage tastemakers, Kursten Berry is a very rare breed; born and raised in Atlanta, she insists there’s “no place like home” when it comes to developing her passion for mixology and her thumbprint on the city’s food and beverage scene. Berry is Co-Owner/General Manager/Beverage manager of the highly-acclaimed Twisted Soul Cookhouse and Pours in Atlanta’s West Midtown. If you aren’t already impressed, consider the fact that Berry is also a full-time student, who will receive her degree in Business Management this Spring.

A self-taught barkeep, Berry firmly believes the foundation of her success is built on “Creativity, Open Mindedness, and an emphasis on having fun.” She is inspired by a wide variety of sources; art, music, food, people and of course, special places. The latter is the lens through which Berry sees her future, “I’m ready to take the next step, by building my own unique environment and experience.” Look for Berry’s new concept “Dulcet” coming to the Cascade Heights neighborhood in late 2022. She promises a destination that’s both elegant and inviting. “My vision for Dulcet is a place where you feel special, and at the same time feel like you belong.
